NEW VERSION FSSC 22000
With the aim of improving the use of this system, adapting it to the needs and expectations of the different interested parties, increasing its rigor and continuing to guarantee the coherence of the FSSC 22000 system, a review and update has been carried out based on the experience resulting from the application of version 3 of the system and the expectations of the authorities and the industry especially. Following a process of consultation with the industry, certification bodies, accreditation bodies, training organizations and governments, FSSC 22000 has launched version 4 of its international certification system for food safety management systems. The new requirements of the plan include several important changes to improve its integration and address the growing international focus on the prevention of food fraud. Unannounced audits, the introduction of critical non-conformities, the prevention of intentional contamination of products and a standardized audit report are all new elements within the scheme recognized by GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative). The new requirements of the plan can be downloaded for free and all certified sites must be audited in the new version as of January 1, 2018. RDC works daily to maintain and continuously improve the food safety management system under the new FSSC 22000 guidelines.

FOOD SAFETY
Food safety is the guarantee that a food product will not cause harm to the consumer when it is prepared or ingested and according to the use to which it is intended. The safety is one of the four basic groups of characteristics that together with the nutritional, organoleptic and commercial, make up the quality of the food. Food is a major source of exposure to pathogens, both chemical and biological, to which no one is immune, neither in a developing or developed country. When food is contaminated to inadmissible levels of pathogenic agents and chemical contaminants, or with other dangerous characteristics, it entails substantial risks for the health of consumers, and they represent great economic burdens for different communities and nations. Food safety is a great responsibility in the industry, which is why the Food Safety Management Systems have gained great importance for their implementation and certification search. INTERNATIONAL DAY OF BIODIVERSITY
May 22nd: INTERNATIONAL DAY OF BIODIVERSITY Biodiversity is the term by which reference is made to the wide variety of living beings on Earth and the natural patterns that make up. The biological diversity that we observe today is the fruit of billions of years of evolution, molded by natural processes and, increasingly, by the influence of the human being. This diversity forms the vital network of which we are an integral part and on which we both depend. The protection of biological diversity is a subject of our interest. The biological resources are the pillars that support civilizations. The products of nature are the basis for industries. The loss of this biological diversity threatens our food supplies, our possibilities for recreation and tourism and our sources of wood, medicines and energy. The transformation of natural forests by agrarian use to sustain the current industry has modified the ecosystems, which has had an impact on the species that inhabited it. Worldwide. From RDC we are committed to make a rational use of resources to reduce the impact of these inputs on the ecosystem, in addition to demanding the certification of sustainable production of palm oil.

International Day of Mother Earth
We celebrate the International Day of Mother Earth to remember that the planet and its ecosystems give us life and sustenance. With this celebration we accept the collective responsibility to promote harmony with nature and Mother Earth to reach the right balance between the economic, social and environmental needs of present and future generations. This day gives us the opportunity to raise awareness among all the inhabitants of the planet about the problems that affect the Earth and the different life forms that develop in it. In June 2017 in RDC we certified the IRAM-ISO 14001/2015 standard as part of the work before the commitment and progress of carrying out a responsible and sustainable activity.

INTERNATIONAL WATER DAY
March 22: INTERNATIONAL WATER DAY World Water Day is celebrated annually on March 22 as a means of drawing attention to the importance of fresh water and the defense of the sustainable management of freshwater resources. The UN established that this day is an opportunity to learn more about issues related to water, it serves as an inspiration to share the problems related to water and take action to change the situation. Water is an essential element of sustainable development. Water resources, and the range of services they provide, play a key role in reducing poverty, economic growth and environmental sustainability. Water promotes the welfare of the population and inclusive growth, and has a positive impact on the lives of billions of people, by influencing issues that affect food and energy security, human health and the environment. All people need to consume 2 to 4 liters of water per day. But 2,000 to 5,000 liters of water are required to produce each person's daily food. To move towards a more sustainable diet, more food should be produced using less water, reducing waste and losses. RDC works daily to improve its environmental performance and carry out a responsible consumption of a resource as valuable as water.
